Anywho, flipping through channels last night, nothing's on except Family Guy, David Letterman, and Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer (going to be shown at midnight) so I had some time to spare. Fortunately, something on Cspan caught my attention...video games.

Well, the group presenting this (Liberman included) were showing the media violent video games, cursing, etc. They mentioned a handful of games including GTA and God of War! They only showed the parts where the player kills people and gets "rewarded for killing." And they believe that this is the downfall of our civilization! But if there is something I learned out of all of this, is that the ESRB, that lovely group which rates games, DOES NOT PLAY THE GAME! Wow, no wonder why so many games duck under the gun with a "M" rating. Oh frogot to mention about the "new" commercial coming out on a small screen near you. Basically, all the commercial was is a small kid, no younger than 10 years old, reading off a script talking about killing hookers, doing drugs, and geting rewarded...um I don't get it. These fools tell you not to play games, but they are telling people in the commercial what these kids supposively do?

My question I pose to you, do you think the ESRB should even be here in the 1st place if they aren't playing these games? Should a new rating system take its place and put harsher ratings?

and BTW, if you pick up the Offical Playstation Mag. (OPM...NOT pronounced opium) has a little article of David Jaffe and "what's in your PSP?" In it, the article plugs his MB and what he's playing....cool stuff! Later...

Can You Dig It?

Ah a very warm Jersey day today! I'm feeling kind of board waiting for my food to be done (hamburgers for you nosy people). ModBlog STILL down, Mturk down thanks to botters, what a great day!

Gaming wise, I am finishing up on Raw vs. Smackdown 2006 and still tring to find time beating Phantom Brave. Plus, Christmas is around the corner and my quest for a digital camera and a Nintendo DS (with Mario Kart and Animal Crossing) will set me back 2 years.

A word to the wise, Shadow the Hedgehog is NOT THAT GOOD! Seriously, I didn't like killing stuff with a gun and I just hate the whole 3-D thing...Sonic Adventures 1 was awesome and all, but part 2 was meh. The commercial is oozing with cliche and my friend makes fun of the commercial concerning "his past". Now when I grab the DS, I'll be sure to also grab the new Sonic Rush for it...old school has never been so good. I love Sega and all, but I miss the Dreamcast and all its glory. Just one day I'd like to see Sega come back and put out another console, it's just not right without them :(

Happy Turkey Day..360 Degrees of Eating

For one, have a very happy eating day and second, I am soo stuffed....after seeing how much a person would pay for one of these online:


Now, you'd pay like...$200 right, well not really. One guy on the interwebz via eBay, is buying this thing for around a THOUSAND DOLLARS! Well I call it a stunt for someone to buy a $300 machine for a thousand...jeez it BETTER have Bill Gates's autograph on it at least. I dunno, its just sad to see someone shell out for 3 X-Box 360's instead of just buying one at Gamestop.

But this would have to piss every 360 owner...

Now, this is blantly obvious when a new system comes out, you'll be the test subjects for that company and you'll see some stuff crash and burn. Now if Micro$oft INVESTED more time into the system, pushed it back to either Revolutions or PS3's release, we could see another David and Goliath battle (Gamecube vs. X-Box back in 2000). M$ just wanted to be the 1st ones out with the system, no hype, no testing, NOTHING! They just want your money. Now, I could be wrong and we could see another Sony problem with the consoles, but as I said before on ModBlog, I am sticking with my PS2, my DS, my PSP until the PS3 prices drop down beyond 360's price.

But I'm sure everything will be okay when Halo 3 comes out paralell to PS3's release. What will YOU be hyped about that day? I'm sure the Playstaion launch will take center stage and Halo will take the backseat..yeah good marketing job M$ they could of released it the day AFTER causing it to sell like hotcakes (which it will do).

Enough of my ranting for now, just had a thought and extended it to the max...brainstorming is fun! Peace my turkey lovers!
